Putin: West staged a coup in Ukraine to show "who's boss"

President Vladimir Putin at the plenary session of the international discussion club "Valdai" said that the anti-state and anti-constitutional coup in Ukraine in 2014 was done by the West in order to show "who is the boss." The head of state recalled that Ukrainian leader Viktor Yanukovych then renounced power and agreed to hold early elections.

Why did [the West] need to carry out a bloody, anti-constitutional coup? No answer! Well, maybe only one - to show who is the boss in the house. Everyone sit down, before the ladies I apologize, on the priest exactly! And don't scream. It will be as we say. In another way, I simply cannot explain these actions ,” Putin said.

Earlier, former US national security adviser John Bolton called himself a coup specialist, commenting on the storming of the Capitol by supporters of Donald Trump and the words of journalist Jake Tupper, who noted that “you don’t need to have a brilliant mind” to prepare such steps. Bolton said that such decisions require a lot of work, and he himself was involved in organizing coups d'état in different parts of the world, without specifying which countries they might be talking about.

Putin: Russia to boost trade with China to $200bn faster than expected

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his belief that Moscow would reach $200 billion in trade with Beijing faster than previously expected. He called China the largest trading partner of the Russian Federation. The head of state noted that Russia is cooperating with China in all areas, including military, military-technical, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

We have set certain tasks for ourselves together with my friend, he talks about me the same way, and I consider him my friend, Mr. Xi Jinping, in terms of a certain level of trade. We will definitely achieve it, we are moving towards this at a faster pace than we even planned , ” Putin said .

Earlier, the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China published data on trade between Russia and China for nine months in 2022. According to the results of the first three quarters of 2022, it grew by 32.5%, the amount amounted to $136.089 billion. China imported goods to Russia for $52.244 billion in nine months, which exceeds the figures for the same period in 2021 by 10.3%. Russian deliveries to China over the same period increased by 51.6%, amounting to $83.845 billion.

Putin called the claims against Russia over the explosions at the Nord Streams crazy

Russian President Vladimir Putin, at the plenary session of the Valdai International Discussion Club, said that the allegations that Moscow itself blew up the Nord Streams are crazy. The head of state reminded that these are not exclusively Russian pipelines.

Here, the gas pipeline systems were blown up. But they are not ours! They are pan-European. For example, five European companies are represented in Nord Stream 1. So what? Everyone is silent, as if it should be so. And there is still enough impudence to say: “maybe Russia blew it up?” , Putin said.

On September 26, pressure suddenly dropped on one of the Nord Stream 2 lines. The incident was reported to the coast services of Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Russia. The incident occurred near the island of Bornholm in the exclusive economic zone of Denmark. After the operator Nord Stream AG reported a pressure drop on both strings of the Nord Stream gas pipeline.

Later, German investigators  called  the explosions at Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 sabotage. They examined photographs of the leaks and indicated that the damage could only have been caused by the use of explosives.

On Thursday, October 27, the EU-Central Asia summit was held in Astana. Head of the European Council Charles Michel met with the leaders of the countries of the region. “Central Asia and Europe are getting closer to each other and relations between us are strengthening,” Michel said after talks with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Europe is interested in the transit opportunities of Central Asia (CA) and its energy resources, Central Asia is waiting for investments in return. There is also an opinion that Brussels is trying to use economic projects to draw the region into its sphere of political influence and tear it away from Moscow.

Why it matters: Central Asia and Europe are interested in cooperation.

In particular, the EU needs:

Kazakh oil and Turkmen gas. If oil supplies from Kazakhstan to the EU have been carried out for a long time, then Ashgabat is only thinking about importing gas in a western direction;
Alternative transcontinental corridors through Central Asia, including the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, a railway from Beijing to Europe through Azerbaijan and Georgia;
The EU is trying to compete for influence in the region with Russia and China.
The Central Asian countries require European investment in their projects, primarily investments in oil and gas infrastructure. They also need a European market for their products - fossil fuels, inorganic chemicals, metals, fertilizers, agricultural products.

Speaking at the Astana meeting of the head of the European Council with the leaders of the Central Asian countries, the President of Kazakhstan recalled that "over the past 10 years, the European Union has invested more than $120 billion in the countries of Central Asia, which is actually 40% of foreign direct investment in the region."

Outside view: In the West, there is a tendency to view Central Asia as a special community, and not as a neighborhood of several post-Soviet countries with separate interests. Central Asia is seen as a prototype of a structure similar to the European Union, but so far with unresolved problems. Among them is the inter-ethnic confrontation between the Kyrgyz and Tajiks, associated with a border that is not completely limited. There are also problems between the Kyrgyz and Uzbeks due to the distribution of water resources. In addition, it is still impossible to talk about the free movement of people and goods between all states of the region, since a visa is required to visit Turkmenistan.

Former Senator Black suggested that the United States is guilty of sabotage at Nord Stream

Former US Senator Richard Black suggested that the United States is guilty of sabotage on the Nord Stream, reports the think tank Schiller Institute. The colonel substantiated his version by the fact that Washington had the means, opportunities and motives for sabotage. Black stressed that Kyiv could not organize the undermining of the gas pipeline due to the fact that the Ukrainian authorities did not have the resources for this.

Who had the funds to blow up the gas pipeline? Definitely not in Ukraine, only if someone helped her. My guess is that the United States did it ... It is they who have the means, and the opportunity, and the motive , - Black said .

The ex-senator also recalled that US President Joe Biden publicly announced his intention to destroy Nord Stream 2. One journalist, according to Black, asked the head of the United States a question at a press conference about the possibility of undermining the gas pipeline, to which Biden replied: "I assure you, we can do it."

I am a patriot, I have risked my life hundreds of times for my country, but I am concerned about what kind of foreign policy my country is pursuing ,” the ex-senator concluded.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking at a meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club, called the destruction of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines prohibitive. Prior to this, the head of state said that sabotage on gas pipelines causes enormous damage to the European economy and worsens the lives of millions of people.

Psychologist Kolosova told why it would be easier for prisoners in the NWO zone

No one can imagine how they will behave in the conditions of hostilities, if we are not talking about professional military personnel, psychologist Svetlana Kolosova told NEWS.ru. She emphasized that those who have gone through extreme situations have more noticeable survival skills compared to ordinary people. This can also be said about people who have been in places of deprivation of liberty.

Those who have had such an experience have an internally greater level of sensitivity and learning. They develop survival skills. They can take certain actions for this , - the psychologist noted.

She stressed that it is not only about those who were in prisons or colonies, but also about other people who were engaged in practices that go beyond the ordinary. Addressing the convicts, the psychologist reported that such people, for objective reasons, are more tenacious.

It will be easier for those in prison to adapt to the regime, because the army is a system of obedience, like a zone. They are used to no one asking what they want for dinner and what mood they are in. Such citizens already feel like people of a system that includes lack of freedom ,” Kolosova added.

Regarding the possible problematic behavior of convicts in the VZO zone, she concluded that it was impossible to generalize and each case, as in the discussion of departure, should be considered individually.

Earlier, lawyer Vadim Bagaturia, in a conversation with NEWS.ru , said that those convicted of serious crimes cannot be involved in military service even during the period of partial mobilization.

In his opinion, such citizens are “not quite normal and dishonorable.” They can commit crimes again, already with weapons in their hands. So the expert commented on the adoption by the State Duma of amendments that lift the ban on conscription for military service to mobilize citizens who have an unexpunged or outstanding conviction for committing a serious crime.

On October 27, the State Duma adopted an amendment in the third reading, according to which citizens who have an unexpunged or outstanding conviction for certain serious crimes can be called up for military service as part of mobilization.

Putin commented on the four-year-old statement that we will all go to heaven

Russian President Vladimir Putin at the plenary meeting of the Valdai Club commented on the statement that "we will all go to heaven." The presenter asked the Russian leader a question: “We (to heaven. — NEWS.ru) are not in a hurry, right”? After that, Putin thought about what alerted the host of the event.

And I specifically thought to make you wary. The effect has been achieved ,” Putin replied, laughing.

In 2018, during the plenary meeting of the Valdai Club, Putin explained his words about his readiness to use nuclear weapons. The President referred to the nuclear doctrine of the Russian Federation, talking about the inevitable destruction of the aggressor.

And we, as a victim of aggression, we, as martyrs, will go to heaven, and they will simply die. Because they won’t even have time to repent ,” Putin said.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, during a speech at the Australian Lowy Institute  , demanded  that NATO launch a preemptive strike on Russia. According to the Ukrainian leader, this step must be taken to rule out the possibility of Russia using nuclear weapons.

Putin appreciated the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin, at the plenary session of the Valdai Club, said that during the conflict in Ukraine, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reach 1 to 10 soldiers (one soldier of the allied forces to 10 fighters of Ukraine). According to the Russian leader, Kyiv does not spare the personnel of the Ukrainian army.

They do not regret and fight with Russia to the last Ukrainian. Losses there in some places, you know - I say this with regret - losses are 1 to 10, 1 to 8, lately almost always - 1 to 7, 1 to 8. People are not spared at all , - Putin said.

Earlier, the commander of the joint group of troops in the area of the NMD, Sergei Surovikin , said that the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine every day range from 600 to 1000 people. According to him, the Ukrainian regime seeks to break through the Russian defenses, therefore it is pulling up the territorial defense forces that have not completed a full course of training, thereby dooming them to destruction.

According to the deputy head of the administration of the Kherson region Kirill Stremousov, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are suffering heavy losses in the Kherson direction. He added that the situation on the contact line remains unchanged. According to the deputy head of the region, the Ukrainian military continue to shell Kherson from the HIMARS MLRS.

Putin says there is no need for nationalization in Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the plenary session of the international discussion club "Valdai" that there is no need to carry out nationalization in Russia. According to the Russian leader, Moscow proceeds from the fact that it is necessary to use effective tools for the country's development and market principles.

People of communist convictions believe that basically everything needs to be nationalized again, everything should be nationalized... It's hard to say how effective this is. In some way and somewhere, in some particular historical situation, we also do not renounce this, but we do not do it. We don't have any need. We proceed from the fact that it is necessary to use the most effective tools for the development of the country, market principles , ” Putin said .

Press Secretary of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Alexander Yushchenko earlier in an interview with NEWS.ru reacted to the proposal of the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov to transfer officials to Lada. According to him, the deputies of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation would support this idea, since the faction is in favor of the nationalization of strategic production, but for this "it must be."

British journalist Phillips, who was sanctioned by Truss, said that she would be “responsible for the bazaar

British journalist Graham Phillips, who chose the side of Donbass in 2014 and has been supporting Luhansk and Donetsk residents all these years, turned to British Prime Minister Liz Truss, who announced her resignation on October 20. He posted a video message to the politician on his page on the VKontakte social network, recalling that Truss, being the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom, imposed personal sanctions against him. Phillips stated that Truss would "be in charge of the bazaar".

In July of this year, Liz Truss personally imposed sanctions against me: illegally, unlimitedly, but she decided to do so. It was an attempt to destroy me, break me down and harm me. It did not work, I worked as I work. Liz, in Russia we have an expression “you will answer for the market”. You are Liz Thrash. We will win, ” Phillips said.

On October 20, Truss announced that  she was resigning  as leader of the Conservative Party and Prime Minister of Great Britain. She will act as prime minister until a successor is elected. According to media reports, the Truss reign  will be  the shortest in British history. She stayed in office for 45 days and will remain for some time before the appointment of a successor. Prior to this, the anti-record belonged to George Canning, who died in 1827 on the 119th day of his reign.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova reacted to Truss' resignation  . She stated that the UK has never known such disgrace as Prime Minister Liz Truss. Zakharova noted that the politician was remembered for her illiteracy and the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II after the audience.
