Former US Senator Richard Black suggested that the United States is guilty of sabotage on the Nord Stream, reports the think tank Schiller Institute. The colonel substantiated his version by the fact that Washington had the means, opportunities and motives for sabotage. Black stressed that Kyiv could not organize the undermining of the gas pipeline due to the fact that the Ukrainian authorities did not have the resources for this.
Who had the funds to blow up the gas pipeline? Definitely not in Ukraine, only if someone helped her. My guess is that the United States did it ... It is they who have the means, and the opportunity, and the motive , - Black said .
The ex-senator also recalled that US President Joe Biden publicly announced his intention to destroy Nord Stream 2. One journalist, according to Black, asked the head of the United States a question at a press conference about the possibility of undermining the gas pipeline, to which Biden replied: "I assure you, we can do it."
I am a patriot, I have risked my life hundreds of times for my country, but I am concerned about what kind of foreign policy my country is pursuing ,” the ex-senator concluded.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking at a meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club, called the destruction of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines prohibitive. Prior to this, the head of state said that sabotage on gas pipelines causes enormous damage to the European economy and worsens the lives of millions of people.
